A woodpecker is wreaking havoc on our house. It has tapped a bunch of holes into our wood siding. Mr. J is thinking about hunting it down a la Elmer Fudd. Most of the damage is right outside our daughter's bedroom. Thankfully, she takes after me, and can sleep right through the noise (thus far).
Anyone have any ideas how to get rid of this varmint?

maybe we can hook him up with the squirrel that is living in my attic? that would certainly be an interesting combo....a flying woodpecker squirrel --- a woodrel or a squipecker? i vote squipecker.
