I started drinking coffee in 2007, when I was working at SIG. Before then, I didn't drink it. Not even when I lived in NYC. But instead of easing into it, I headed straight to the double shot mocha lattes. That is like going from 0 to 60 mph in 8.8 seconds. Voooooom!
Now that B is out of the womb, I went right back to my espresso habit. And I am painfully aware of how much this addiction costs me. Giving it up is not an option, what with B's lack of sleeping schedule. But I am getting much better at using my espresso machine. B is also considers the 30 minutes I take in the morning to prepare and drink my coffee part of our routine. She can sit in her bouncy chair without fussing, as if she knows I will be a grouch if I don't have it. Bless my baby girl.
The challenge now is to refrain from puchasing any more espresso drinks from Starbuck's. Though, I need to get the coffee beans and mocha powder...
Today counts. I didn't buy any coffees, though I made it at home. How many consecutive days can I go without? How much can I save by doing so?
